The Wall Sticker Company
Briefly describe your workplace and business.
The Wall Sticker Company is a small business created by Fiona and Jen in 2006. We design and manufacture vinyl wall sticker for children's room, living spaces and commercial applications. We also create custom designs. We sell our product through the website and over 50 stockists. Going carbon neutral is important to us and has turned out to be our best marketing tool.
What have you done to reduce your CO2 emissions?
- All electricity is through Greenpower.
- Moved part of our business to different premises to avoid heating.
- We have established our carbon fooprint through enaging with a credible auditing firm.
- Purchased carbon offsets through Climate Positive.
- Cut out 90% of packaging through creative solutions.
- Purchase items in bulk to avoid extra car trips.
How has your organisation worked together to reduce carbon emissions?
- We all use the recycling system in the factory.
- Sending out information on how to reduce carbon emissions with payslips.
What plans do you have for future reductions?
We have encouraged our vinyl supplier to measure their emissions (at least that portion associated with supplying our business).
Why have you become Climate Positive?
Because we are responsible business owners and it is a great marketing strategy.
